This a flashback of HoneyBatty's past and the time she met Serena the Mermaid.
As you see here; On a beach trip with her new friends and fellow classmates at the Water Kingdom, HoneyBatty started singing for the first time in the Enchanted Forest. Little did she know a mermaid heard her singing nearby and watched her performance.
Note: It was King Lionel who taught her how to play the ukulele and even gave her one as a present for earning her blackbelt.
